I have 400 passwords. A few years ago, I read about a technique that enables the use of unique passwords without having to remember each one. The technique follows a pattern. Renaming all my passwords using this pattern has saved me many hours of frustration. The technique: the user chooses and always enters the same first three characters, a special character and same last three characters. The middle characters would contain the app or website they are accessing. For example, 123App$789 would be Apple; 123Goo$789 would be Google; 123Ver$789 would be Verizon; 123Ama$789 would be Amazon. The stagnant number you choose could be meaningful to you like your dogs birthday or the zip code of your favorite vacation spot. For maximum security, choose a lengthier password pattern.
